Seattle Sightseeing

Last weekend we played tourists with some friends. It was one of the couples whose wedding we went to over Spring. He works for Microsoft as well and was here for the week for a conference and she came up for the weekend because she’d never been to Seattle before. We had lunch at Din Tai Fung in Bellevue and then went over to the mall to explore the Tesla, who’s dealership is actually in the mall. After, we all went to Starbucks and headed over to Kirkland to see what Kirkland Uncorked had to offer as well as show them a bit of the area. After that, we hung out at my place for a bit then headed to Seattle for dinner and then called it a night. On Sunday, we met at restaurant called Alibi Room by the Gum Wall near Pike Place then went on the Ride the Ducks tour, which is where most of my pics are from. Our friend’s wife was leaving that night so right after the tour we took her to the airport and that’s where I got the amazing shots of Mt. Rainier from. Enjoy 🙂

It Didn’t bother Me

It happened today. It didn’t bother me. And when I realized, I had a moment of silence.

I got used to the fog.

Really? Is this what it has come to? I guess it’s a good thing because I wasn’t very miserable and that’s a plus, but being used to the fog and not having it bother me was weird. There was no weird feeling driving in it. None. It has been just over a week with fog everyday, so I should be ok but it was weird.

When I’m waiting outside of my husband’s office, I always feel like I’m in a horror movie and someone is going to emerge from the shadows with a machete and hack me to death. Yes, that is what I associate fog with.

Ideally, I’d be getting ready to go somewhere sunny for a few days and come back feeling refreshed. But that’s not happening, so I guess mentally, my brain realizes that this is my life now, and I’m no longer in Barbados, so get used to it. Or, simply I’ve been driving and being in fog for more than 24hrs that I’ve just adjusted. I like to take the former explanation please!

Anyway, the fog should lift by Tuesday (tomorrow) and then it’s back to rain (yay!). “Back to normal” and cold… I will make the most of this week, I have a few things planned that I will not let the rain and cold put a damper on. This is my year and I will not let a lot of things get to me because some things will get to me.

Seattle Weather

Hi! First of all I want to say thank you to all who read my last post and offered insight as well as gave me some options to try for stuff I listed under “Cons”. New to the blog? Read A Microsoft Wife and For the Real Housewives to get to know me a little better :). I saw the The 4 Seasons of Seattle Weather by www.theoatmeal.com on Facebook a little while ago and I’ve shared it with friends for them to have an idea the weather and life here in Seattle. So I thought I’d share it with you 🙂 hope you enjoy!

Hahahaha! We did have a spectacular Summer this year but this is basically how it is :P.

Here’s a plus… Married? Like memes? Read this post and tell me what you think! Until next time…
