1. If you do not GO after what you want, you’ll never have it.
2. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.
3. If you do not step forward, you’ll always be in the same place.

Happy Monday. May you start this week with hope and a cheerful heart knowing that you can get through anything you are going through right now. Count your blessings.
I came across this blog hop on Twitter and I decided to give it a try. I’m going to interview myself! Luckily for you, this will help you get to know me a little more and you can continue it as well.
1) What advice would you give your 16 year old self?
I’d tell her she is stronger than she thinks she is. Her confidence is there and she just needs to bring it out. Trust her gut! Making friends isn’t as hard as she thinks it is but still don’t let your guard down too much, good people are coming her way.
yep this is old school us!
2) How many pets do you own?
NONE! I had two chihuahua mixed dogs back in Barbados for a few years but after the female died, I had to give away the male because he became very agressive after she passed. I gave him to a teacher who had a female chihuahua so I didn’t just give him up. I’d LOVE another dog but I’m still working on my husband to come around to it since he isn’t a dog person like I am and I will need his help at some point.

3) What did you want to be when you grew up and did you follow your dreams?
I never thought being a housewife was going to be my added to my list of occupations so I can’t say I’ve actually followed my dreams lol. I loved learning languages, tourism and kids. I did a Bachelor’s in Spanish (which is pretty rusty) and I did a few Tourism courses and worked as a Travel Agent so I’d say I got pretty close to that part. I also put in a few years of babysitting. I got pretty close to what I consider to be my heart’s desires so I look forward to actually being to put them into practice again in the future!
4) What was your first car?
The first car I had to myself (not bought) was a 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero Junior that was originally my mother’s, then my sister got it after she got her license and then when she left to go to study for a year abroad it was passed on to me and then we shared it after she came back. Haha, yes it was a lovely little vehicle.
taken from Bing but ours looked just like it! :
5) If you had a plane ticket in your hand right now to go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d have to say to Paris. I’m dying to go there and hoping to get it on our travel list for next year. My husband my kill me for not saying Bora Bora but even though I’m dying to go there as well, I want to see Paris more.
I am sick! 😦 I don’t remember the last time I was (thank goodness) and I’m blessed that it doesn’t happen often (yay Vit C!). However I had a few things I wanted to share that I had to post today. First off my friend has just started her own blog on Tumblr and I think you should check it out! You can see what we call a beach – nothing like Alki Beach up here! It’s called A bit here a bit there ← click!
The quote of the day that came in my email today was very inspiring. It said a lot of what I’ve been thinking recently. As you know, I can’t work legally with my current visa but I’ve been thinking seriously about where I want to go with my blogging. It’s the one thing I do that gives me a sense of purpose. And I’ve been thinking about what direction I want to take. When I’m going through things I get very pensive and deep in my writing. But when all seems fine and dandy I pull back and highlight my hobbies: fashion and travel. I’d like to keep this blog going just the way the name says it is – a dash of everything. But I also want to create a balance because some may appreciate my thoughts on life etc more than what I just bought for my face. I guess we’ll see how this goes, hope you enjoy the journey with me.
