What Is Your Role?

Just hear me out…

I am *tired* of seeing quotes, statuses, videos and rants about what men and women should be. Half the time it’s a single person speaking their mind and a ton of other single or broken hearted people “liking” and sharing these quotes.

Call me old fashioned and still a newly wed but here’s my view:

When you enter a relationship *NEVER* expect that person to automatically change for you. You are two totally different people with personalities that have meshed. Any changes that need to be made for the relationship to work, will come naturally or you both work towards it if you really want it to progress.

This shit about a role of a woman and a role of a man being laid out like it’s the law is BS. B-S!! You both assess what you’re bringing to the table and you find a way to compromise and make it work. You appreciate what the other is bringing and you lift each other up where the other is lacking in a LOVING way. You do not belittle the other person because you only push them away.

Relationships are a lifetime work-in-progress. Life changes and so do you. You grow together and if that’s not possible keep trying until you’ve exhausted all of your options. You should never be the same person you were 5 years ago. If you are, go out some big girl panties/briefs on and GROW UP.

Basking in the sun

As much as it’s been draining me, I’m loving our little “heat wave”. We want to walk everywhere and be out of the apartment. Over the weekend I took my camera out with me. On Saturday, we had lunch at Cactus (a new restaurant that opened in Bellevue Square last week) and then went to Ikea for me to get a drawer to store my makeup and a few accessories in. On Sunday, after I cooked lunch, I was craving some ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery and my lovely husband took me there. After, we drove to Redmond to watch a movie and got lost along the way because he took the wrong turn and I wasn’t looking (he isn’t the best at navigation). So we went down this road and it was really beautiful, but had to turn around. After, we stopped at like 2 Starbucks locations before finding one that was opened past 7.30pm and then home to watch the BET Awards of which I lost it and was all over my living room dancing to the Reggae session. SO GOOD! And that was my weekend! Enjoy the pics!

The Ultimate Chanel guide

Good read and informational 🙂

I’ve wanted a Classic flap by Chanel for as long as I can remember, it is such a timeless, classic and effortless piece. With regards to Chanel there are so many options to keep in mind before purchasing an item such as: sizes, leather types, hardware or color. After hours of research, I will try my very best to paint out a pretty accurate picture of the different variations, styles and price-points.

The different Classic Flap variations

1. Different sizes

There are initially 6 different sizes to choose from with regards to the classic flap: The mini Mini, Mini, Small, Medium/large, Jumbo and the Maxi. For me, because I am only 160cm (around 5.2), I think the two larger sizes would look huge compared to how short I am, so If you are around my height the Small or the Medium/large are usually preferred.

Prices as of July 5, 2012
