A month ago, I was surprised that June was here already… Now, it’s done as well as half of the year. The good great part is, it’s officially Summer and as soon as my deck repairs are completed, the table set is back on there and I’ll be spending more time outside. I knew 2011 had a lot in store for me, and I can tell you I never expected it to be like this for sure. I’m looking forward to having my family visit though, and to the simple joy of having sunshine and warmth for a little while.
I’ve been looking for a puppy.. as far as my husband is concerned all I have to do is make sure nothing of his gets destroyed – exposed wires and cables, his new leather couch, any of his devices that he may have left lying around. I haven’t found THE puppy yet, but I’m hopeful he/she will pop up soon. I’m looking at Maltipoos, Cairn Terrier, Lhasapoo and a Pompoo. I’m going for the mixed breeds because shedding is a huge factor and these are said to shed little to none. So let’s cross our fingers that I get something!! I need a pet!
Anyway I downloaded Beyonce’s “4” on Zune (http://zune.net/en-US/products/software/download/default.htm) and I gave it a listen yesterday when I had a lot of driving to do. I heard 1+1, Best Thing I Never Had, End of Time and Run The World prior to the album’s release. Even though I just heard End of Time on Sunday during her BET Awards/Gladstonbury performance I knew it would be a fave. I have to say that I consider the following to be my top songs on repeat in this order: End of Time, Party, Run the World and Best Thing I Never Had. “4” is definitely different from her other albums – it’s fresh, “summer-y” and she has a song or two in there that has that old school vibe that makes me not skip it. I don’t usually go for the slow songs on albums because I love upbeat music, so I take a while to swing around to those and say I like/love them even though I know all of the lyrics. And this has been my 2 cents on Beyonce’s album “4”. Thank you.
I’ll be missing Crop Over (Carnival) again this year and I just want to make sure everyone at home enjoys it for me. I need to get music for the last 3 years >_<.. I’ll be back one of these years though :D. I don’t have any definite plans on returning home this summer but I sure hope everyone enjoys wherever they may be flying off to during these summer months. I’ll probably give one of these updates again at the end of summer and probably on how depressed I am going to be (hopefully not if I have a dog or something) over the coming winter months. I picked up my Midsummer’s White from Chateau Ste Michele yesterday and sampled it as well… Helllloooooooooooooooooo Summer!!!!! 😀
